Shipping & Returns


As soon as your order is dispatched we will email you to tell you it is on its way. Australian orders can be tracked if you log in to your et la mer account.

Shipping Costs - within Australia

Orders placed before 1pm AEST will receive Australia Post Parcel Post delivery to capital cities and major regional centres. Outside of these areas delivery may take an extra day and delivery to remote areas even longer. Please allow for Public Holidays and weekends.

Orders placed after 1pm AEST will be shipped on the next business day.

All parcels are fully tracked.

Please give any specific delivery instructions in the comments field during checkout, such as “leave at reception” or “leave at front door if not home”. If you choose to have your goods delivered to a site where no one is there to receive it, you do so at your own risk and we cannot accept responsibility should it go missing.

Please note that during times of high activity it may be impossible to achieve same day dispatch. Please bear with us, your order is our priority and will be shipped with all possible speed.

Shipping Costs - International

We offer shipping to limited international destinations. All charges and prices stated on this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include a 10% Goods and Services Tax. (This Tax will be removed from the cost of your purchase once you fill in the delivery address fields at the checkout.) However, any customs or duties charged in the country of destination will be your responsibility.

Parcels will be dispatched upon full clearance of funds.

Please note we cannot accept responsibility for delivery delays which are the result of forces outside our control, for example: natural disasters such as wild storms or unnatural disasters such as postal strikes!

Our "shipping is free for over $150" is not applicable to items shipped internationally.

We can only ship to New Zealand, USA & UK. The shipping costs are:

to NEW ZEALAND: $27.15 (AUD)

to USA: 35.70 (AUD)

to UK: $45.10 (AUD)

The above applies to parcels that contain product up to the value of $500 (AUD) and weight is under 1kg. Anything outside this value or weight will need to be quoted on. You will be contacted by further email if your order falls outside the 1kg weight. International parcels are sent via Australia Post through their Pack and Track International pre-paid satchel option.

If your parcel can be sent with tracking at a cheaper weight because your parcel weighs under 500g, we will refund you the difference (ie. shipping to New Zealand under 500grams costs approx $18.00).

It is important that you read the following section carefully:

We understand buying off the internet does not guarantee a perfect fit and we want you to be ecstatic with your purchases, so we are more than happy to return or exchange (except for earrings) within 30 days of delivery. Obviously they must be in original condition (that is they have not been worn, altered or washed, with all tags and spare buttons attached). Also, if you would like to know more about a garment's fit, please contact us via email ( and we are more than happy to service.....just on the internet!

If the item does not meet these standards we reserve the right to deny you a refund or credit note and it will be returned to you.

If the need for refund or exchange was our fault (for example the item is faulty or not what you ordered) we will happily cover the cost of any postage required. Otherwise, postage costs incurred in the exchange/return will be your responsibility. Shipment of new items following exchanges will be free of charge.

Earrings are non-returnable.

If exchange is requested, we will endeavor to provide you with the item you require. Should such items be unavailable we will happily offer you a refund, credit note, or assist you in finding a suitable alternative (with cost differences to be either paid by you in the case of a more expensive item, or refunded by us in the case of a less expensive item)

How to return an item:

Please inform us via email if you intend to request a Return or Exchange letting us know your invoice number and the details of the return/exchange.

When sending a return or exchange please simply return items (all tags attached), protectively packed with a copy of the original invoice marked with items to be returned (having first informed us via email).

We will provide confirmation via email once we receive your item. Returns and Exchanges are usually processed within a week of their arrival at et la mer.

Please note:

  • Refunds can only be given via your original payment method. (If you paid by bank transfer you will need to let us know your Account Name, BSB and Ac number so we can send your funds back to you)
  • The type of payment method you used will determine the time it will take for your refund to be processed. Credit card and PayPal refunds will be processed immediately. Direct Deposit/Bank transfer may take 2 – 3 Working days. Cheques must be sent back via Australia Post and may take up to 7- 10 days.
  • We are unable to refund your original postage costs unless the item was faulty or not as requested.
  • The cost of postage for returns or exchanges which are for non-faulty items must be bourn by the purchaser
